About the Band

 Jeff Ament Bass, backing

vocals

history: Deranged Diction, Green River, Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog
side projects: Three Fish
etc.: Jeff is an excellent artist and as Ames Bros., in partnership with his brother, has created much of the best-loved and most familiar Pearl Jam artwork, such as the Stickman, the Temple of the Dog liner notes, the band history featured on the liner of the first promo cassette, and "Mr. Point" from the 1995 tour. Ugliest hats in the band but the most muscle in the whole band since Eddie stopped surfing. Only band member to look halfway decent in a tank top.

Stone Gossard
Guitar, backing vocals

history: Ducky Boys, Green River, Mother Love Bone, Temple of The Dog
side projects: Brad, Green Apple Quick Step (production), Thermadore
etc.: In his copious free time, Stone has built a recording studio (Litho Studios) and runs a record label (
Loosegroove Records), along with Regan Hagar of Satchel. Winner of the Pearl Jam Most Drastic Hair Change Award. Couldn't play a game of pool to save his life. Owns the ugliest shorts in the band.

Jack Irons
Drums/Percussion

history: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Eleven
side projects:
etc.: Member since October 1994. Matchmaker between Eddie and Stone/Jeff. Authorized tattoo collector for the band, alleged family man and aficionado of shirts with fish on them. Rumor has it Jack is teaching the band interesting uses for tube socks in their spare time.

Mike McCready
Guitar

history: Warrior (later known as Shadow), Temple of the Dog
side projects: Mad Season, Bumrush
etc.: Colors his hair more than Stone (though Stone still wins the PJ Drastic Hair Change Award), token punk rocker, specialist in autodestruction and guitar immolation, tendency to jump onstage and play with anyone who asks, from Pete Droge to Scott McCaughey to Three Fish to [insert band name here]. Owns the ugliest shoes in the band and is the only band member to be seen in public in a dress. Documented Mr. Potatohead fetish.

Eddie Vedder
Lead vocals, guitar

history: Surf and Destroy, Bad Radio, Temple of the Dog
side projects: collaboration with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
etc.: Soundgarden fan, Pete Townshend fanatic, rock and roll historian, President of the Ramones Fan Club, and addicted to the smell of vinyl. Rock and roll singer who actually *did* work in a gas station. Former surfer boy and owner of a Super-8 video camera which seems to be permanently attached to his right hand.
